10 days Jiuzhaigou, Mount Emei and Yangtze River cruise tour

Upon arrival at Jiu-Huang airport, to be fetched and driven to Jiuzhaigou hotel. Overnight at Jiuzhaigou.

Jiuzhaigou is China’s premier national park which is located between the Sichuan Basin and the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau. With crystal clear lakes, waterfalls, virgin forest, endangered plant and animal species and Tibetan villages to explore, you will soak in the atmosphere of Jiuzhaigou' tranquility and break-taking scenery. You can take the pollution free sightseeing bus to the top of the valley, then walk down to appreciate the nice scenery along the way. Jiuzhaigou valley literally means “Nine Village Valley” which is named after the nine Tibetan villages scattered throughout the park, so in the evening you will have the chance to see a local Tibetan-Qiang minority culture show to know their mysterious life. Overnight at Jiuzhaigou.

Morning drive from Jiuzhaigou to Huanglong (about 3 hours drive). You will have about 3-4 hours sightseeing at Huanglong. Huanglong National park is very famous for its colored lakes.You can consider to climb the mountain depends on your health conditon or take the cable car to Huanglong Temple(150RMB). Afterwards drive to Chuanzhusi airport for the flight to Chengdu. Upon arrival at Chengdu airport, to be met and transfer to Chengdu hotel. Overnight at Chengdu.

Morning around 08:00 to be met and transferred to Emeishan. On the way enjoy the beautiful countryside landscape of western Chengdu Plains. Upon arrival at Emeishn, you will be arranged to visit Baoguo Temple. After that, take the local sightseeing bus to Leidongping(Lunch will be arranged at Leidongping), afterwards walk about 15-20 minutes to Jieyin Hall, here you will take the cable car to Golden summit(or you can choose to hike up - around 2 hours). Visit the Huazang temple, Golden summit Buddha Statue. If you are lucky enough, you may see the clouds sea and Buddhist Halo in the late afternoon. Overnight at Golden Summit Hotel.

Early morning go to see sunrise at Golden Summit, in a clear day you will also see the Gongga Mountain which is the highest peak in Sichuan, called 'the King of Shu'. Afterwards take the cable car and sightseeing bus down to Baoguo Si bus park, our driver will meet you there and drive to Leshan. In Leshan visit the biggest sitting Buddha sculpture in the Lingyun Temple. The grand Buddha was completed in 803 of Tang Dynasty after 90 year's construction and enjoys the fame of the biggest sitting stone sculpture in the world with a 71-meter height. Carved on the cliff face, the sculpture is well designed with perfect balance and effective water drainage system. You can also choose to have a boat tour to see Leshan Grand Buddha(fee is on your own). Late afternoon transfer back to Chengdu, check into your hotel. Overnight at Chengdu.

In the morning, set out for the Chengdu Panda Breeding and Research Center, located about half an hour away. You will arrive in time to see the pandas during their feeding time, when they are at their most active, both adults and babies. Later, watch a film at the Panda Story Cinema to learn more about the pandas' daily life, including their birth, mating, and more. Afterward, depart from the Panda Base and head back to downtown for lunch.

In the afternoon, pay a visit to People’s Park, a popular spot for locals to relax and pursue leisure activities such as dancing, singing, playing instruments, drinking tea, and rowing boats on the lake. You will be arranged to drink and eat at one of the open tea houses with locals.

The rest of the day is for you to freely stroll along the Wide and Narrow Alleys, a conservation of old architectural structures that have been updated with modern decorations in the bustling city of Chengdu. This area is known for its rich architectural and social characteristic features, from the residential buildings of the Qing Dynasty to the present. Here you can try different types of local Chengdu snacks.
In the evening, you may choose to enjoy a cultural show, such as Sichuan Opera, which is famous for its spitting fire, rolling lamp, and changing faces performances.

Take morning high-speed train from Chengdu to Dazu (about 1 hour) to visit Dazu Rock Carvings, which has been listed as a world cultural heritage site by UNESCO in 1999. The Dazu Grottoes spread across more than 75 sites in the county, and contain over 50,000 stone sculptures carved from the Tang Dynasty (618-907) to the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). The two major sites are Beishan (North Hill) and Baodingshan (Baoding Hill). We will arrange you to visit Baodingshan for a few hours. Afternoon drive back to Chongqing for dinner, then send you to get on the luxury Yangtze River cruise at Chongqing Pier. At 22:00 your memorable Yangtze River begins.

After a morning of scenic cruising, you will disembark to the first stop Shibaozhai Pagoda, an impressive 12-story wooden structure built against a cliff face. You will climb the steep stairs to the top of the pagoda for stunning views of the surrounding landscape and Yangtze River. In the evening, attend a welcome reception on board the ship to meet your fellow travelers and crew.

Today's itinerary takes you through some of the most spectacular scenery on the Yangtze River. You'll pass through the dramatic Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge, with towering cliffs rising on either side of the ship. Then, you will disembark to take a smaller boat through the Lesser Three Gorges, where you'll witness waterfalls, lush vegetation, and towering rock formations up close. In the evening, enjoy onboard entertainment such as Chinese folk dance performances.

On your final day of the cruise, you will visit the Three Gorges Dam, the largest hydroelectric dam in the world. Disembark the ship for a tour of the dam and learn about its history and construction. After the tour, return to the ship before disembarking in the city of Yichang (around 12pm), where you can catch a flight or continue your travels in China.
