The Chengdu Giant Panda Research and Breeding Center, also known as Panda Base, is one of the most successful of these institutes. In the 1970s, zoologists began working with six pandas, which has now grown to a population of 39 located at the base. The environment here is exquisitely designed with luxurious stands of bamboo. This sanctuary is home, not only to giant panda, but red pandas, black-necked cranes, golden monkeys, and flocks of wild birds. This half day tour also includes the Chengdu Giant Panda Museum. Built in 1992, it features popular exhibits in the appropriately named exhibition wings: Giant Panda Hall, Butterfly Hall and Vertebrate Hall. Giant Panda Hall is the first museum established for China's living national treasure and will provide you with a complete zoological record of the animal including fossil remains, ecological exhibits and history of the Chinese efforts to save this amazing animal.
Morning 07:30 drive about 0.5hour to the Chengdu Panda Base. You will catch pandas' feeding time, they are at their most active, both Adults and Babies. Later then you can go to watch the film at Panda Museum to know the panda daily life, Baby getting birth, ect. Drive back to your hotel around 11:00, end the trip.
