2 |  The luxurious 5-star 'Century Star' began her maiden voyage on Sep, 12.2003. It has been proven to be one of the popular ships on Yangtze River. With its grand two-story lobby to the beautiful ballroom, elegant restaurant and top furnishing, the ship boasts the same comforts and amenities you would expect from a 5-star hotel.
The ship features Spacious, all outside cabins have private balconies. Each cabin is equipped with a phone and color television, mini-bar, and all bathroom are designed according to the western standard. The two beds in the standard cabin can be combined to be a King size bed. In addition, bathtub, hairdryer, telephone in bathroom are set in all Presidential Suites and Deluxe Standard Cabins.
Onboard, your meals will allow a choice of Chinese or Western entrees. You'll enjoy local cuisine, but also delicately grilled salmon and tender steak on the menu. You will find a little bit fun with your cruise friends for the Chinese meals are served in traditional family - style.
The ship is equipped with Radar, Sonar, and GPS system which assures the safest naviagion and you will also cruise in comfort.

Meals
According to the guests' diet, we prepare sumptuous dishes and drinks. we provide both Chinese and Western food for you. Here we have top-ranking chefs, who serve you delicious dishes. The first day, the Captain will hold a cocktail party and the last day, a farewell bouquet party. Time details are as follow:
Breakfast: the Chinese & Western buffet
Lunch: Chinese style table
Supper: Chinese style table
You will be informed in time if the service time changes slightly according to the tour schedule.
Cultural Programs & Entertainment
Taiji Boxing
At dawn or dusk, guests will stand on the Sundeck to practice Taijiquan under a professional's guidance, each movement displays the Chinese profound culture. Many have taken up this practice when they get back home.
Lectures
We offer lectures on Chinese history and culture which add insight and depth to the cruise experience. Topics include the evolution of the dam project and its importance to China, Chinese medicine, poetry by many of the famous Chinese sages, Chinese language, Chinese traditional brush painting, dumpling wrapping, etc.
Entertainment
During the day time, you can enjoy Chinese Galligraphy which is one of the highest forms of Chinese art; Dumpling Competition, join the professional chef for a dumpling class and enjoy the dumpling-making competition; Chinese Cruisines making, you will learn some basic Chinese Cruisine skills and also you may learn some vegetarian carving. Chinese Mahjong becomes the most popular game recently, and on our cruiser you will have chance to touch it, we will invite you to come to learn palying this fun game.
After dinner, usually there are dancing, clcktails and traditional masks come together for a fun-filled night. |
