  Tour Itinerary:
Day 1 Kathmandu / Chengdu / Beijing / Xi'an to Lhasa
Lhasa airport picking up, have a good rest to acclimatize the high altitude in the afternoon, overnight at Lhasa,


Day 2 Lhasa sightseeing (B)
Today you will visit the World Heritage Sites of  Potola Palace, Jokhang Temple and explore the bustling bazaar along the Barkhor Street,  overnight at Lhasa.

Day 3 Lhasa sightseeing (B)
The escorted tours today will cover some other highlights of Lhasa - the Drepung Monastery, the Sera Monastery, both of them are Gelupa Monasteries. And also you will visit the famous Dalai lama summer palace - Norbulingka.  overnight at Lhasa.

Day 4 Lhasa / Yamdrok lake / Gyantse / Shigatse, (360KM, 7hours, 3900M high)  (B)
Morning drive up to Kambala pass (4794m), you will have a glimpse of Yamdrok-tso there, which is one of the three holy lakes in Tibet. Then along the Friendship southern Hwy to Gyantse, visit the famous stupa - Gyantse Kumpum, the most stunning architectural wonder in Tibet. Late afternoon drive to Shigatse, overnight at Shigatse..

Day 5 Shigatse / Sakya / Lhatse, ( 200KM, 4hours, 4050M high) (B)
Morning visit Tashilunpo Monastery and the spectacular tombs of Panchen Lamas, do its kora. Late morning drive to visit Sakya Monastery which is the main monastery at Sakyapa. Overnight at Lhatse.

Day 6 Lhatse / Saga (346KM, 5-6 hours, 4600M high) (B)
Today drive from Lhatse to Saga, pass several high plateau lakes, towns, herders tents and along the route with plateau mountain ranges. Overnight at Saga Hotel.

Day 7 Saga / Paryang (255Km, 5hours, 4750M high)
Taking another 255km drive from Saga to Paryang, you weave your way through small dusty town of Zhongba amidst enchanting panoramic views. Overnight at Paryang(Guest house, dorm bed).

Day 8 Paryang / Lake Manasarovar ( 270Km, 4-5 hours, 4560m high)
Drive from Paryang to Lake Manasarovar through open territory with a view of distant mountains, Yak herders camp, if lucky might come across a herd of Kang (Wild Ass), you will have the first sight of Holy Kailash and Manasarovara. Overnight at the village of Chiu Monastery ( Guest house, dorm bed).

Day 9 Lake Manasarovar  / Darchen (60km, 2hours, 4560m high)
After sunrise at Lake Manasarovar, then start driving to Darchen, prepare for trekking. Overnight at Darchen(Guest house, dorm bed).

Day 10 Trek from Darchen to Dira-puk Monastery, 20km, takes about 5 - 6hours (Camping)
The first day's parikarama is a gradual walk with multitudes of other local pilgrims chanting and praying. The trail leads to few ups and downs till we reach our camp at Dirapuk (4,750 m.). Camping on the nice grassy meadows with a view of Kailash, north west face at Dirapuk for overnight halt.

Day 11 Trek from Dira-puk Monastery to Zutul-puk Monastery by crossing Drolma-la Pass, 15KM, takes about 6 - 7hours (Camping)
Today our parikarama leads to much higher side of the holy path just beneath the Mount Kailash. The walk will bring us to one of the highest point at Drolma La, 5,200 m. before descending to the gradual field towards Zuthulphuk for the overnight camp. Zuthulphuk has a small monastery.

Day 12 Trek back to Darchen,14Km, 4- 5hours
The winding gradual tracks finally ends our holy pilgrimage 5hours, Overnight at Darchen(Guest house, dorm bed).

Day 13 Drive from Darchen to Zanda (270 Km, around 6-7hours),
Drive from Darchen to Zanda along the Xinjing-Tibet Hwy, and drive off the main Hwy after 150Km, go across a few mountain passes, you will see the magnificent Tholing Forest. Afternoon visit Tholing Monastery. Overnight at Zanda.
 
Day 14
Zanda / Guge Kingdom ( 23KM, 40 minutes )
Morning drive to Tsaparang Guge Kingdom ruins, make a half day tour at there. Afternoon drive back to Zanda and have a rest or look around Zanda town. Overnight at Zanda,

Day 15 Zanda / Ali ( 200Km, 7-8 hours)
Drive from Zanda to Ali, pass Laochi-la and Lalung-la over 5000m, the road is equally tough going. Overnight at Ali ( Guest house, dorm bed).

Day 16 Rest one day at Ali, fix the land cruiser for the following 4 day long driving.

Day 17 Ali / Rutok / Durma,  270km, 6-7hours
Drive to Rutok in the morning, visit Pangong-tso. Overnight at Durma Army station ( Guest house, dorm bed).

Day 18
Durma / Dahongliutan, 358Km, 8-9hours, 4200m
Drive about 2 or 3hours on the desert over 5000m, start to pass over Jieshandaban which is 6700m high(The real high altitude should be around 5400m). Overnight at Dahongliutan Army station(Guest house or camping, dorm bed). 

Day 19
Dahongliutan / Mazar, 253kM, 6-7hours,
How long it will take for the driving depending upon road and climate conditions. You are now on the Lingzi Thang Plains; the Kunlun mountain ranges are on the right and the Karakorum mountain range left. The road is very straight, and the landscape fantastic: out of the window scenery appears in brown and red alternatively; emerald small lakes shine under the sunlight. After crossing a high pass (4.950 m) , you will reach Mazar, overnight at Mazar Army station local guest house (Dorm bed) or camping.

 
Day 20  Mazar / Yecheng, 234KM,  5-6hours
Soon after pass by Mazar you begin to cross the Kunlun mountains. The Chiragsaldi (4.960 m) is the last pass you have to cross on the way. Afterwards  drive downward along the Yecheng ravine to Xinjiang. Situated at the edge of the Taklamakan desert, Yecheng is a city with a pretty Bazar inhabited by Uigur and Han Chinese. Overnight at simple Qiaogeli hotel.

Day 21 Yechang / Kashgar, 250KM, 4-5hours, 1300M high (B)
Morning  drive about 250 km to Kashgar (1.300 m), the largest oasis of China. The tar road runs at the edge of the Taklamakan desert. On the way enjoy the landscape of the Kunlun. Grey-black rocks and sand dunes compose the major feature of the landscape of Taklamakan. On the last section of the way we pass by an expanded, watered field. The Islamic oasis city is coin-shaped and inhabited mainly by Uygur. It was once an important communication on the Silk Road, being the starting point of the northern and southern routes. Upon arrival at Kashgar, check into your hotel. Afternoon free on your own. Overnight at Kashgar Qinibagh hotel.
 
Day 22 Railway station or airport dropping off, end this long adventure
trip.
