Day 1 Chengdu / Beijing / Xi'an / Kathmandu to Lhasa
Lhasa airport picking up, have a good rest to acclimatize the high altitude in the afternoon, overnight at Lhasa,
 Day 2 Lhasa sightseeing (B)
Today you will visit the World Heritage Sites of Potola Palace, Jokhang Temple and Barkor Market, overnight at Lhasa. Day 3 Lhasa sightseeing (B)
The escorted tours today will cover some other highlights of Lhasa - the Drepung Monastery, the Sera Monastery, both of them are Gelupa Monasteries. And also you will visit the famous Dalai lama summer palace - Norbulingka. Overnight at Lhasa.
Day 4 Lhasa/ Yamdrok lake / Gyantse / Shigatse, 360KM, 7hour drive (B)
Morning drive up to Kambala pass (4794m), you will have a glimpse of Yamdrok-tso there, which is one of the three holy lakes in Tibet. Then along the Friendship southern Hwy to Gyantse, visit the famous stupa - Gyantse Kumpum, the most stunning architectural wonder in Tibet. Late afternoon drive to Shigatse. Overnight at Shigatse.
Day 5 Shigatse / Lhatse / Shegar / Rongphu Monastery / E.B.C, 340KM, 6-7hour drive (B)
Early morning start driving to Rongphu via Lhatse and Shegar, cross over Gyatsola & Pangla Pass, where you will see the Himalaya mountain ranges in a clear day.
 Rongphu is the highest monastery in Tibet, still a good point to see Mt.Everest. Afternoon start trekking from Rongphu to E.B.C, it takes about 2 hours. Or you can take animal carriage ( 30rmb/per person,round-trip). Overnight at Rongphu guest house. (dorm bed) Note: It is a bit cold to stay at Rongphu, you'd better to take your sleeping bag with you. Please prepare your own package food for Rongphu staying.
Day 6 Rongphu/ Shegar/Shigatse, 340KM, 6-7hour drive
If you are lucky enough, you will see sunrise at E.B.C. Late morning start driving back to Shigatse. Overnight at Shigatse. Day 7 Shigatse / Lhasa, 300KM, 5hour drive (B)
Morning visit Tashilunpo Monastery and the spectacular tombs of Panchen Lamas, do its kora. Afternoon drive back to Lhasa along the friendship way. Overnight at Lhasa.
Day 8 Lhasa airport /train station dropping off (B).
Morning Lhasa airport or train station dropping off, end the trip. 1. Transport: 4WD Landcruiser Toyota 4500 available;
2. Accommodation: Hotels (6 nts twin room), 1nt dorm beds;
3. Guide: Chinese, English and Japanese-speaking guide available;
4. Entrance tickets;
5. All necessary Tibet permit;
