Mt.Emei lies 6.5km from Emei town, frequent public buses run between two places, costs 2RMB, or you can take a taxi costs 20RMB to Baoguo Temple from Emei town.

Minibuses and taxis run back from Baoguo to Emei town for the same price. You 'll find them lurking around the bus station, next to Teddy Bear Cafe. Also from the bus station at Baoguo, you can catch the buses to Chengdu from 7:00am to 6:00pm, and buese to Chongqing between 7:30am to 4:00pm.

Bus from Chengdu to Emei town run frequently from Chengdu Xinnanmen bus station throughout the day. The trip takes 2 hours and tickets cost around 40RMB. And buses run between Leshan and Emei town every half hour from 7:00am to 6:00pm.
