Highlights:

In this trip, it almost covers all the hightlights of Central Tibet. In Lhasa, you will visit the World Heritage Sites of the Potala and Jokhang Temple and the Barkhor Pilgrimage circuit, the huge monastic institution of Drepung and Sera Monastery, ; in Tsedang, visit tibet's first Palace Yumbulakang, Tibet's first monastery Samye Monastery; on the way to Gyantse, have a glimpse of Holy Lake - Yamdrok Lake; In Gyantse, visit the famous Gyantse Kumpum Stupa; In shigatse, visit the seat of Panchen Lama - Tashilhunpo Monastery.

Day 1 Chengdu / Beijing / Xi'an / Kathmandu to Lhasa
Lhasa airport picking up, have a good rest to acclimatize the high altitude in the afternoon, overnight at Lhasa.

Day 2 Lhasa sightseeing (B)
Today you will visit the World Heritage Sites of  Potola Palace, Jokhang Temple and explore the bustling bazaar along the Barkhor Street,  overnight at Lhasa.

Day 3 Lhasa sightseeing (B)
The escorted tours today will cover some other highlights of Lhasa - the Drepung Monastery, the Sera Monastery, both of them are Gelupa Monasteries. And also you will visit the famous Dalai lama summer palace - Norbulingka. , overnight at Lhasa.

Day 4   Lhasa / Samye / Tsedang, 260KM, 3-4hours (B)
Morning drive to Tsedang, located by Yarlung Valley, it's reputed as "the cradle of Tibetan Civilization. Visit Samye Monastery which is believed to be the first monastery in Tibet. Late afternoon visit Yumbulakang Palace - the first palace in Tibet. Overnight at Tsedang. 

Day 5  Tsedang / Yamdrok Lake / Gyantse, 300KM, 6-7hours (B)
Breakfast at Hotel. Then start to drive up to Kambala pass which is 4794m high, you will have a glimpse of Yamdrok-tso, one of the three holy lakes in Tibet. After lunch at Nangartse county, keep driving along the Friendship southern Hwy to Gyantse, visit the famous stupa - Gyantse Kumpum, the most stunning architectural wonder in Tibet. Overnight at Gyantse.

Day 6  Gyantse/ Shalu Monastery / Shigatse, 120KM, 2 hours (B)
Morning visit Gyantse Dzong where you will see the whole Gyantse city. Afterwards drive to Shalu monastery , which is around 20km south of Shigatse, a few kilometers off the Shigatse – Gyantse road. After sightseeing at Shalu monstery, drive to Shigatse, visit Tashilunpo Monastery and the spectacular tombs of Panchen Lamas in Shigatse, and do its kora. Overnight at Shigatse.

Day 7  Shigatse /  Lhasa, 300KM, 7hours (B)
After breakfast start driving back to Lhasa along the friendship way, afternoon free on your own in Lhasa. Overnight at Lhasa .

Day 8  Lhasa airport /train station dropping off (B)
Morning Lhasa airport or train station dropping off, end the trip.
